One of the first questions people ask us is some version of, "How many do I have to buy?" It is a fair question, and the honest answer is: it depends on the product. Let us clear up how promotional product minimums work so there are no surprises, and then walk through exactly how ordering happens from start to finish.
Why minimum orders exist
Custom products require setup, screens for printing, digitizing for embroidery, engraving files, and press configuration. That setup takes the same effort whether you make 12 items or 1,200. Minimum order quantities exist so that setup cost is spread across enough units to keep the per-item price reasonable. It is also why prices drop as quantities rise: the setup is a smaller slice of each unit.
Typical minimums by product
Minimums vary widely. Small items like pens, stickers, and buttons often start around 100 to 250 pieces. Drinkware and bags commonly start in the 24 to 100 range. Apparel usually starts around 12 to 24 pieces per design. Premium and specialty items can be higher or lower depending on the factory.
The good news? Because we work with more than 3,500 suppliers, we can almost always find a product that fits your quantity. If one item has a minimum that is too high for your needs, we will point you to a similar item with a lower minimum.
What if I only need a few?
If you need a small run, say a handful of gifts or samples, tell us. Certain products and decoration methods are much friendlier to low quantities than others. We help small businesses, startups, and one-off projects all the time, and we will steer you toward the options that make small orders affordable rather than forcing you into a huge minimum.
How the ordering process works, step by step
1. Tell us what you need. Reach out with your idea, an approximate quantity, and your deadline. Not sure exactly what you want? That is fine, describing your goal is enough for us to start.
2. We recommend products and send pricing. We match items to your budget, brand, and quantity, and send you a clear quote. Quotes are always free.
3. We send a free digital proof. You see exactly how your logo will look on the product before anything is produced. Nothing goes to production until you approve it.
4. Production and delivery. Standard turnaround is about 5 to 10 business days after proof approval, and we ship nationwide from Sarasota, Florida. Need it faster? Ask, we will do our best.
